Did anyone stop their way of life, or change it in any way, because of the recent shootings in Arizona? Perhaps some of those that were directly involved, but truthfully, no one that I am aware of. Why not? Are we so calloused to the happenings of our world, even those in our country, that we don't even give it prayer? I plan to pray for these people, and for those whose lives were not directly affected, too. Won't you join me?
Thank you.
Now that I have prayed, I believe it is important to let you know my thoughts on the Golden Globe Awards. What a group of over-pampered, over-publicized, over-paid-attention-to people. There are those in the group who seem to be classy and well-prepared, but certainly that is not the general population of actors. Unfortunately, they also seem to get too much TV time and then offer their opinions to a national audience. Now, you know, I like to be entertained, and in the past, I was entertained even through the ignorance of the their statements, but when they are mean-spirited and vile, along with being incorrect, I am no longer entertained. I guess I will have to quit watching these programs in the future. They will go the way of MTV and other programs that have gone over the edge. Thank goodness my children are giving me NetFlix for my birthday. And thank Goodness that we still have freedom of choice, aka free will.
I too prayed for those people. What craziness going on in the world, eh? I did not watch the Golden Globes, but I can imagine the insanity. I gave up watching those shows a long time ago. I find the celebrity brown nosing and political self righteousness annoying as well. Did you see where Jesse James is engaged to Kat Von D? Poor Sandra Bullock. She seems like one celebrity that is not totally full of herself.
