Why are there riots in the streets?
Blame joblessness. Blame the restless youth. Heck, blame George Bush. But when everyone and everything has been blamed, there is still the ugly truth. I am going to blame the Progressives, and I am going to say why I think so. Woodrow Wilson's mantra was "Make a man as much unlike his father as possible." He believed, and all Progressives believe, that if you can separate a child from his/her family, then you can control them through propaganda, aka advertising, aka public relations, aka mis-direction. And, if you can control what that child reads and learns, hears and sees, then he/she will parrot what you have taught them. So, how do you do that? What a child reads and learns - well, you'll need control of their education, aka teachers' union. What a child hears and sees - well, you'll need control of the media, aka television and movies. Simple enough. Feed those groups the money, and they will fall in line, teaching only liberal thoughts, then Progressive thoughts, feeding their propaganda through the content in the movies and television shows that are shown. Done deal. So why the riots? From childhood, most of these protestors were told that they should fight the establishment because they are to blame for their joblessness and for all the time on their hands with no money. So they hit the streets, just like the Progressives did in the 60's. Only now those same Progressives of the '60s are the ones with the suits on - and one is even running for mayor of Chicago. I wonder if there will be riots in the streets of Chicago if he is not allowed to run, or worse yet, if he loses??? I guess time will tell. Stay tuned.

Running America like Camelot
Sean Connery as King Arthur said, "There are laws that enslave men and laws that set them free." No law made in our United States should enslave. Indeed, they should set men free. Free to decide for themselves - decide if smoking should be allowed in their own establishment, decide whether to buy health insurance, decide whether to join the military, decide who to donate their money to, decide how to provide for themselves in their retirement, decide between right and wrong. No government (or group of elitist despots) should be allowed to decide these things for Americans, nor for any other human beings. Just because people live outside the United States (our Camelot) does not mean that they do not deserve the protection of Camelot, nor are they a lesser people simply by living outside our boundaries. This does not mean that we should give them citizenship. Of course not. What it means is that we should help them to develop their country (their Camelot) in a way as to give them the freedom to choose. After all, God gave that right to each of us, and that right should be preserved above all others.

Business as usual
Did anyone stop their way of life, or change it in any way, because of the recent shootings in Arizona? Perhaps some of those that were directly involved, but truthfully, no one that I am aware of. Why not? Are we so calloused to the happenings of our world, even those in our country, that we don't even give it prayer? I plan to pray for these people, and for those whose lives were not directly affected, too. Won't you join me?
Thank you.
Now that I have prayed, I believe it is important to let you know my thoughts on the Golden Globe Awards. What a group of over-pampered, over-publicized, over-paid-attention-to people. There are those in the group who seem to be classy and well-prepared, but certainly that is not the general population of actors. Unfortunately, they also seem to get too much TV time and then offer their opinions to a national audience. Now, you know, I like to be entertained, and in the past, I was entertained even through the ignorance of the their statements, but when they are mean-spirited and vile, along with being incorrect, I am no longer entertained. I guess I will have to quit watching these programs in the future. They will go the way of MTV and other programs that have gone over the edge. Thank goodness my children are giving me NetFlix for my birthday. And thank Goodness that we still have freedom of choice, aka free will.
Thank you.
