The tide, the tide is turning

A terrible tragedy happened in the world again this week.  An earthquake shattered parts of Japan, which caused a sunami, which killed many people in that country.  Another aftershock occurred, and a nuclear reactor had to be shut down - only when it was shut down, it wouldn't cool off.  I immediately thought about the movie, China Syndrome.  It is said that a nuclear meltdown would burn all the way to China.  My guess is that it can happen the same from there - or Japan.

On another note, the lawmakers in Wisconsin also made a huge move by changing the way union contracts for public workers are negotiated in that state.  If other states join in on this, it could turn the tide on the budget deficits in many states.  Let's hope other lawmakers have this kind of courage.

Pray for courage for the people involved in both.
