Is "Bribist" a word? I know it's a thing.

I always find passages when I am reading my Bible that seem to mirror what is happening in the world today.  I have had a problem with the way our government works since I was in my early 20s.  That's about the time that I found out that there were people whose job it was to convince our government officials - local, state and federal - about what bills to pass.  These people are known as "lobbyists", but basically they are "bribists".  (Those who give bribes for favors.)  I'm guessing "bribist" is not really a word, but maybe it should be.  When there is an issue and you just can't determine how it could possibly be the way it is, just, as they say, "follow the money".  You will usually find out that someone (a bribist) is paying someone (a government official) to make it that way.  And, it is usually not for the betterment of the country as a whole.  As a matter of fact, it is usually for a chosen few.  Ever wonder why they want to continue to be your representative???

Here's the passage I happened upon for those that would take either side of that:

“Do not pervert justice or show partiality.  Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.  Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

Deuteronomy 16: 19-20

You know, we have all been blessed by God with this land that we have been given, and we should do whatever it takes (without taking a bribe) to keep our country just - "with liberty and justice for all".  And that is The Declaration of Truth.

God was answering prayers this week.  It's been a good week for our country, and for God's people.  The unjust were summarily "smacked down" and humiliated.  Of course, they will be back, but for those of us just looking for a reprieve, it's been nice.

For anyone not keeping up, our constitution was being shredded, and God stepped in and saved it.  It wasn't the person they hated and wanted to impeach.  It was the system and the way it was originally established - One Nation Under God.

"But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi, says the Lord Almighty.  "So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the law.""  Such is the Declaration of Truth - the REAL truth.

Democrats were not able to shove through a fake impeachment, and they were embarrassed trying to count some votes (with a new "app").  All the while, they were trying to illuminate people in their message -- abortion is good, homosexuality is mainstream, communism/socialism is the one just way of governing, the end justifies the means.  Again, God has the REAL declaration of truth...

"You have wearied the Lord with your words.  "How have we wearied him?" you ask.  By saying, "All who do evil are good in the eyes of the Lord, and he is pleased with them" or "Where is the God of justice?""

Sham Scam from the beginning...

The news is now stating that the FISA court was scammed on at least the 3rd and 4th applications to spy on Carter Page, and they're still looking into the first two.  Not sufficient predication.  If that doesn't sound familiar, it's the same word that Bill Barr used during the initial phase of his investigation.  What this means is that the Democrats' Sham scam is falling apart, but it also means that the American taxpayer is going to have to fork over millions of dollars to Carter Page for our government spying on him.  That alone should make people mad enough to vote every Democrat out of office.

But it goes deeper than that.

How deep?  Still digging, but something popped back into my mind.  I am drawn back to the final debate before the election between Hillary Clinton and now-President Trump.  The debate was going along as expected, with both characters not-so-politely throwing barbs at each other, but generally just answering the moderator's questions and boring most people, when all of a sudden, from out in left field - no question asked and no provocation - Hillary does an "Oh yeah!"  She didn't say those words, but it was definitely an "oh yeah".  The way I remember it she just blurted out an accusation that Donald Trump was colluding with the Russians.  This didn't last long, but she assured the American public that there would be more to come.

And boy has it.  But what did she know then, and who else was involved?  We know now that she and/or her friends at the DNC paid for the documents that they used to start the investigation of the soon-to-be-President of the United States, starting with spying on ...  yep, you guessed it, Carter Page.

All of the people involved, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Joe Biden, McCabe, and others, are traitors and have done irreparable damage to our Constitution and our American way of life.  They should be brought up on charges - sooner, not later.  And, if found guilty, maybe Carter Page should get reparations -- ones that are paid by those found guilty.  Now that's reparations that I can get behind.

Sham is the beginning of Shame, and this is shameful.  TDOT

Follow the trail of distraction

Wag the Dog has been mentioned several times in the last 24 hours.  If you haven't seen the movie, I suggest trying to find it.  It's pretty entertaining, and Dustin Hoffman does what he always does - steals the show.  But I digress...

The movie is a "rub it in their faces" flick that demonstrates how Democrats and the entertainment community work together to push policy - even if they have to make it up.  So, whenever you hear the narrative that Trump is probably doing this "as a distraction" what they are actually telling us is that they have provided enough impetus to create a situation that anything that Trump does after their impetus would create a distraction for something THEY want to get out of the media's attention.

So, could it be that their latest "distraction" tactic is to get everyone's attention off the fact that Nancy Pelosi is not turning over the articles of impeachment?  And, since Iran owes them a favor for providing American tax dollars (in cash) during the Obama era to start some conflicts, maybe they are funding the push to take over the American embassy in Iraq, which would provide the distraction, another article of impeachment possibility depending on what Trump does, a potential "Bengazi" to hang around Trump's neck, and give their friends in Iran total control of Iraq.  Win, win for them.

Could it be?  I really don't want to believe that most Democrats would do this, but then, I saw "Wag the Dog".  You should, too...  TDOT

The Declaration of Truth rides again...

Well, it's been a long time, but forgotten does not mean gone.  It's been a fun ride, but it just seems right to dust off the old cape and start the new crusade.  The actors of evil have gone over the edge, and they must be displaced, each sent back to its own lair and away from the pack.  Maybe some of them can be reprogrammed, if they get back to people who voted for them.

A new year, a new election cycle, and a desperate plea for removal of the creatures of the deep.  November is right around the corner, and we will hear all kinds of promises - just heard that every person of voting age is going to get $1000 per month just for voting Democrat.  I made up that last part, but not the $1k per month.  Now, don't get me wrong, if they actually vote that into law, I am not moving out of the country or even turning it down, but I just wonder how my children and grandchildren are going to pay for that on top of the $20 trillion they already have to deal with.

Can we just agree to pay attention to what they are all saying, not act like it's a popularity contest, and just vote for the one that seems to have God's spirit with them?

I should write a song

One of my favorite songs starts "With a purple umbrella and a 50 cent hat".  Yep, I am not making that up, although I have been known to make up my own words to songs.  And, I think, at least on occasion, mine are better than the original, so maybe I should write a song.  I think if I were to write a song, it would probably be a protest song - something Joan Baez or Arlo Guthrie should be proud of.  But it would be against the current establishment, who, in the 60's and 70's were the protesters.  It is pretty interesting how the world has flip-flopped.  Maybe the song would be called "Flip Flop", and maybe it would be about the president.  How's this for a first line "My name is Barry, I tell the truth very rarely, I believe when you marry that it's a Jim and a Mary, but then I flip flop, everybody be wary 'cause I believe it can also be a John and a Harry."  Yeah, I know, I should keep my day job, and Joan and Arlo probably would not care for my protest song either.  Oh well...   TDOT

Just rambling on current events

Why can't Republicans just take the high road?  Why is it they feel compelled to get down in the muck with the Progressives?  Can they not see that the populus just wants something done?  Well, it's time for them to begin.  Why can't Progressive just discuss a budget?  Why is there not some penalty for House and Senate leadership if they don't obey their own laws?  Just get a budget passed.  Or at least put one forward to be voted on.  And, if not, get new leadership.  Pass a law saying so.

Now...  Ann Romney has a $900 blouse.  My wife has a $100 blouse.  Ann Romney has THOUSANDS OF TIMES more money than my wife.  So, why doesn't she buy more expensive blouses.  I am a little concerned.  For heavens sakes, get some nice clothes.

And, Hillary Clinton is not wearing makeup.  Shame on her for being lazy, but really, so what.  I just want to know why someone doesn't say she has been a fake all these years.  There were stories back when Bill was running for governor of Arkansas that she grew her hair longer and started wearing makeup so she would look more Southern (she's from Illinois).  And rumor has it - it worked.  Bill did get elected.  So it probably follows that she has decided that she will not be running for president.  Otherwise, she would grow her hair out and wear some makeup.  My grandfather-in-law often said that even an old fence needs a little paint sometimes.  Bet ya a dollar that she does both IF she decides to run...  TDOT
